Foot Care & Orthotics

How important is proper foot alignment?

RunningYour feet are the foundation and support for the rest of your body. If you are experiencing foot, ankle, knee, lower-back or shoulder pain it very well may stem from a problem with your feet. The human foot is better adapted to walk on soft natural surfaces such as sand and earth. However, most of the time we walk on hard flat surfaces such as pavement. This can cause numerous problems with our feet, which in turn will cause problems elsewhere in our bodies.

Do your feet measure up?  Take this short quiz to find out.

Foot problems can affect the rest of your body and how you feel. In fact, chronic low-back pain is often the result of faulty foot biomechanics, and stiff necks can be caused by problems in the feet. We also understand the many issues involved in arthritis and proper foot care.

With orthotic support, low back pain, hip pain, knee pain and foot pain all resolve as proper function is returned to the feet and the walking process is corrected. Sprained ankles also become a thing of the past with the proper support provided by orthotics. Our patients love their orthotics!

Have foot problems? Come in and see us for a foot exam to determine if your chronic low back pain is due to biomechanical dysfunction of the feet and if orthotic support can help. Your feet and your back will be happy you did.
